Spread Your Wings

Thank you year five for a marvellous year of fun and learning. We have had so much fun and you have many great memories to take away to your new schools. I wish you all the best for your new starts at middle school. Thank you for all the kind wishes, cards and gifts; they were heartfelt and greatly appreciated. Have a lovely summer and have lots of fun.

Mr Batts

Pirates of the Curry Bean

Well done to all the year five children, who produced polished performances of our year five leavers’ production. We are all so proud to have showcased your hard work talent.

Bell boating

Today was a fabulous example of how our year five children work together to make fun times to remember. We must thank John, from Evesham Rowing Club, for taking us rowing on the river. We had a super morning together, learning how to row, steer and work as a team. Found out how to use locks to move upstream and downstream and also saw the weir. I was personally excited to see a marsh harrier catch some prey and hear reed warblers singing. Perfect weather, a perfect morning out and a super class with whom to share the experience.

Cheltenham Science Festival

We have thoroughly enjoyed the presentations on Wonderful Water at Cheltenham Town Hall. It brought the subject of water to life; water is something that we simply take for granted! Aspects included evaporation, pressure, freezing, melting and absorption. Who would have thought that water could be such fun!

Musical Notes

5B have been learning all about beats and timing in music. Do you know your crochet from your quaver? We’ve loved getting to grips with this subject. Now those strange squiggles have meaning and we’re starting to be able to read the music!

A Platinum Jubilee

For the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we’ve taken part in a host of celebratory activities. We have designed our own games, participated in a carousel of activities and taken part in the tree planting. Each child has also taken home a commemorative coin to remember this incredible event.

Gardening Day

Each class has been working on their raised bed. We’ve planted with vegetables this year. Let’s see what we can grow!
